MarioMunsey bear camp in the spring?
Still looking an outfitter for a brown bear hunt. Seems that Mike Munsey offer a first class operation with one of the best accomodation in Kodiak and also great results. Advises?
What about end of april/early may?

AkshooterMike is a great guy very down to earth and he is a second generation guide. His father started the camp decades ago. Mike is as good as any on Kodiak but maybe not as well k own because he dos'nt promote himself like others do. Idon'nt know about his prices but if the price is right then you won't go wrong.

458WinMario, my advise it to simply ask Mike. He knows his area better than anyone. Just be aware that Kodiak weather is unpredictible, just as is hunting.

Fourtyonesixspring is a much better time to hunt bears on kodiak than the fall.
Keep in mind accomadations are not what makes or breaks a kodiak bear hunt. A trashy tent sometimes will be more successfull than a lodge or vise versa...best you can do is listen to Mike and BE IN GREAT SHAPE. bears like it high on the the island in the spring...kodiak brown bear can be one of the most intense and physical hunts in alaska.
