I drew DG475 2 years ago, saw 1 really huge brown bear and got tangled into a herd of about 35 goats. I thought about putting in for a Kodiak goat tag but just can't convince myself to do so since there are some pretty good hunts on the mainland. Looks like a lot of guys I know drew Kodiak goat tags this year.

Didn't shoot one, I discovered my rifle was shooting almost a foot and half high after I had missed 1 goat at about 150 yards. It must have got jarred on the flight from Anchorage or maybe the flight into Zachar Bay. We flew with Kingfisher Aviation, they fly some fairly new airplanes and are good guys. Their parents own the lodge in Zachar Bay which is where we stayed our first and last night there. You can also contact Roland at Seahawk, I hear he is top notch but keep in mind that he gets real busy that time of year, the guys that own Kingfisher had to pick up someof his clients because he was so busy.

I like to save my luck for when I really need it, like plane crashes or other such things. This year was just like the last 25, I contributed my money to Fish and Game without drawing a thing. However I am building luck points for the next near death experience.
