I would think that a .50 would be suitable for moose with heavy conicals, although I would prefer a .54. That said I`ve never shot a moose with a muzzleloader, although I have shot several with a modern rifle. Black bears on the other hand, I have shot a couple with black powder. I think that a round ball is suitable for them, although mine have been on the smaller side. Rob | ||
