Prince William sound would be either Valdez or Whittier. I'd completely write off Whittier, as there really is no town, just a large concrete building that looks like a prison, and some tourist/charter shops. It is growing, but thats 5 years down the road.

Valdez is basically a 1 industry town, and thats due to the terminus of the Trans Alaska Pipleline. Housing is artificially high due to the high paid oil field workers, and yet it can be tough to sell your house. Asside from that, it is a breathtakingly beuatiful location.

Anchorage is an hour from Whittier, and has a more stable housing and job market.

What type of info are you after?

Don't forget about Cordova!

Great community, shopping and supply center for eastern part of the Sound!

Seward is nice. Not much happens in winter, but summer is fun. Providence does have a small hospital/clinic there.
