It looks like I might have an opportunity to go on a moose hunt in the Gustavus area this year. Does anybody know anything about this area or have any helpful information they could pass along?

They just went to spike-fork / 50"-3 brow tines this year.

The bull hunt used to be over in a mater of 24-48 hours when it was any-bull.

Not the place I'd recommend if you're coming all the was from Kansas, but you might be able to get one. Don't think Alaska Air has jet service in the fall/winter. You can fly small commercial planes from Juneau.

We'll be going with a friend of the family who is a local and doing it on the cheap. I've never been to Alaska so it sounded like a great opportunity. What can I expect in the way of weather and conditions?
