I would like a recommendation on a synthetic sleeping bag rectangular shape for zero degrees. I am 6'4 tall and have broad shoulders. This bag will also have to be used for backpacking for one or two nights.

Whatever bag you decide to get the best thing I have ever had for my high grade down bag is a polar fleece liner. Forget the silk liners that seem to be the thing to have inside your sleeping bag, once you have tried a fleece liner you would never be without it.
My sleeping bag is a mummy style but the liner is rectangular and long enough to pull easily up over my head with room to spare. Put it to good use last year when tent camping on a tahr hunt in our Southern Alps, a week with snow storms and no sun on the campsite for the week but we were as snug as a bugs in a rug at night. Fleece is instantly warm on contact with the skin and the liner is quite light and can pack down fairly small - my sister made them up for us.

We had a very experienced Alaskan hunter with us and even he found the environment we were in way out of anything he had ever experienced.

If weight/bulk is not a consideration, Phil has it right - Wiggy bag.

Looked at the Wiggys bag. Looks like that is what I will go with. Thank you for your recommendations.

I have an Alaska sleeping bag co, bag. But it was recommended that I get a Wiggys, if I came up there, as mine down, and though warm, could get damp and might be useless. I like the idea of the polar fleece lines. Have never used one, but the idea seems like a good one.

Hi Jiri, the fleece is a separate liner and can be used in any sleeping bag or even just to sleep in on its own in warmer weather. my sister made the liners, she just purchased the polar fleece cloth and sewed up a rectangular bag long enough to pull up well over the shoulders and head when in a sleeping bag. We even use fleece sheets and pillow cases at home on our beds (commercially available in linen shops). Once you've tried these you wouldn't use anything else, just superbly warm and comfortable from top to toe. A real danger though is that the fleece is so good you do not want to get out of bed to go hunting Big Grin

eagle27: Thank you for info.

All:

Are there any good sleeping bags, which are not noisy? When sitting and "half sleeping" at high seat or so and hear game, every movement in "commercial" sleeping bag is very noisy.

whatever you get a removable liner lets you wash it afterwards, and a good waterproof bag helps keep it dry
