The Last Frontier’s Wonders Are Evident in ‘RAIN LIKELY – An Alaskan Caribou Hunt’ Fans of northern adventure will find lots to love in this beautifully shot homage to one of Alaska's iconic animals. Written by Andrew Marshall April 10, 2023 You don’t have to love hunting to love this video. “RAIN LIKELY – An Alaskan Caribou Hunt” has everything an outdoor enthusiast could want in a YouTube video: luscious cinematography, a charismatic and likable main character, and plenty of inclement weather. Over the course of 22 minutes, the team at Stone Glacier follows a self-described “hobby hunter” as he endures seemingly never-ending rain that threatens to derail his caribou hunt. After all, hunting caribou is pretty tough if all you see through your scope is a haze of fog! No spoilers here; you’ll have to watch for yourself to find out if our hero bags his prey. But like most things, the journey — in this case, through the muted tones and eternal expanse of Alaska’s tundra country — matters more than the prize. Runtime: 22 minutes Andrew Marshall is a writer, painter, and photographer with work in publications across the web. Andrew lives, runs, bikes, paddles, and skis in the Tahoe basin on the California/Nevada state line. He’s one of the few unapologetic cat people in the outdoor industry.
