When covid hit, Alaska Air suspended the $49 shipping(up to 100 lbs) that was previously available to Club 49 members. I had to ship meat from POW Island to Nome, and I was pleasantly surprised that the discounted shipping is back. Both the ticket agent and the lady at the cargo desk hadn't realized that it had been reinstated. I love the way AA takes care of us. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt. Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby.
