Well I have been out last night and this morning looking for moose.

I havent seen one yet but did find a couple good game trails. There seems to be a few moose in those woods but not nearly as many as I was used to when I lived in Mat-Su.

The up side is it is any bull. And I didn't see anyone else in the woods.

Just before I got to my truck I saw a ruffed grouse and took his head off with my 454. He's in the oven right now soon to be lunch. Big Grin

RMILLER,

I am also headed out Monday looking for that special moose! I've only got seven days, but hope to get it done anyway.

Goodluck/Godspeed.

I still havent seen a moose in the woods yet.

Today I stuck to the road to maybe find a new spot. I saw five moose from the freaking road Mad and about a hundred other hunters. Including one guy gutting a moose (I was jealous).

The spot I go to has just a few moose going through the area. And it doesn't allow four-wheelers. I didn't hunt that spot today because a group of guys decided to go down the trail with thier four wheelers anyway. Lazy F#$%er's .

I did get another grouse with my handgun though. Neck shot this time. I used ear plugs this time too. nut
