I saw on the other thread mention of the 400 grain bullets in the 458win.

My question is: what velocity are you guys getting with these?

Also more specifically 458WIN what velocity are you shooting your 400 grainers at?

--------------

I worked up a load with the 350 X bullet at 2540 in my 458 win.

I have worked up a load with the 400 X but have not checked the velocity.

I get 2280fps with 400g X. I have only 3 boxes left(they discontinued the 400g) I will probably go with the 400g Kodiak or 350g barnes when they are gone Confused

I was getting 2250fps with 400 grain Barnes X bullets in my .458 and loved them. I also liked the 400 Kodiaks and the 400 Swifts so wil probably switch over to them

I have thought that the 400 Northfork would be good too.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes the 400 North Fork is every bit as good as any that I mentioned. I forgot about them. I love them in my .375

Which ones do you shoot in your 375?
I am guessing the 300's.
