All,

A special election meeting of the Anchorage Fish & Game Advisory Committee will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the King Career Center located at 2650 E. Northern Lights Blvd. Doors generally open about 6pm for voting and meeting begins at 6:30. Your vote is essential and will only take around 10 minutes. If you can stay for the meeting, all the better. I realize the demand on people's time but this meeting will be electing 6 members to the Advisory Committee, which is enough to change the makeup and seriously change the outcome of almost any proposal if anti hunting interests area elected.

Other groups with non-hunting or anti hunting agendas are aware of this election and are likely to attempt to take a few seats (as they did a few years ago) in order to influence the upcoming BOF and BOG cycles. It will not take a big part of your night has you can walk in, vote, and walk back out if you do not wish to attend the meeting. Here's a list of known pro-hunting and fishing candidates:

Sam Albanese, Jim Bolgiano, Gary Brell, Neil Dewitt, Dwight Johnson, Michael Klehr

Please pass this information on to all your hunting friends in the Anchorage area! Thanks!

Brett

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
