From what I have heard via our guide is that the state is seeing a real problem with the bear population. Wolves also.

He was saying that a young moose doesn't stand a good chance of survival. If this is true, problems could be coming fast. These animals have to have populations checked or die of starvation, disease, etc.

It also doesn't make the chances for the moose to good either.
