I load the FS to produce around 2830 fps at the muzzle, and without much effort can get a group of three to print 1-1/2" at 100 yards. If I take my time and hold the rifle steadily before I pull the trigger, I can get three within one inch or so. I have gotten the first two to print within 1/2", then the 3rd. about 1" off to the side. However, I have seldom had the need to shoot moose more than once. Keep in mind that the FS bullets I have been using are Lubalox coated. I don't use the new FS, because it's Moly coated.

For that reason alone, I have switched to A-Frame, and NOS bullets, since those shoot just fine without the build-up of Moly in the barrel. I haven't tried the Partition Gold, and if I do in the near future, I will buy the Gold version without Moly. The A-frame has always been easy to load and shoot, so I don't even think about accuracy when I hunt. If with little effort I get three to print within 1-1/2" at 100 yards, then the rifle is good for a 350-yard shot on moose. This theory has not failed me so far, and last week I killed a moose with one shot from at least 300 yards away. I am going back today to pick-up my tent and camping gear, and plan to measure the area where I shot the moose, because my hunting partners have told me the distance is greater than 300 yards. To me it looks like 300, though.
