My single mother neighbor approached me the other night and asked me about Alaska. She is wanting to move your way next summer, she will be finished with her masters then and would look to find work as a teacher probably in the Anchorage area. Her best friend, another cute single woman also wants to move there as well. I got the whole drill, single men to women ratio etc. Could any of you help me help her with information about the local education system and what is required for an out of stater desiring to take a position in the state. Thanks, Doug

dwhunter, I'd recommend that the interested parties look up the AK state education department website and find the requirements listed there. This source is likely to produce better information than the interpretations of 3rd party advisors. Marv
