Good info above about moose and I wholeheartily agree with PaulH about anyone who has gotten a moose solo not doing it again . I learned that lesson the hard way my first year in Alaska. I now tell people that anyone that hunts moose by themselves deserves to get one. Just skinning and dressing a moose by yourself can be quite a task when you take into acount how much even just a quarter weighs. Where it lands is where you work. Caribou is a much more manageable DIY hunt.
