Lamarpretty poor chance of just dropping down towards Japan to get away from it either.
they got one of their own pushing close to 40' waves going on.

I sort of thought it was the same as building on the beach in Florida or Hawaii, when the surf is up you're going to get pounded some.

Our experience was very similar here in Nome. We did have a major structure fire in town. No lives lost. Praise God.

470EDDYFriends of ours were on a Northwest Passage cruise headed to Nome. Small ship, Silver Seas, Silver WIND, conventional, not an Expedition ship... they anchored up in a small lagoon for 3 days while the Typhoon blew thru!!
I have never heard of that before!! 3 days late into Nome...then all connections were messed up!!
