The minimum age to hunt big game in AK ? Thanks in advance.

The age is ten.

First they must have a hunter safety card. If born after 1985 IIRC.

If they are under ten they can shoot big game if an accompaning parent tags it.

They can get their own tags if over ten years old.

Children younger than 10 can hunt but they have to use their parents tag and be under strict supervision of an adult. Jim

And all this applys to Resident youngsters. The hunter safety card requirement depends on the areas they hunt in. Also no license req. until 16th birthday.
