Trademark, I live in Dillingham and have gone on many drop off caribou and moose hunts. As you know Jerry Hukkaker just completed a successful moose and a caribou hunt with me. The big bull caribou have not been in the Iliamna area for some time in the fall. Tim Laporte of Iliamna Air Taxi has just given up taking hunters until the caribou cycle back his way. A drop camp situation can be chancy anyway because of the camp being stationary but when the camp is not in a good area for big bulls you could not help but have a similiar experience to what you had. Jerry did not find a bruiser caribou but he did get a descent bull and if we had not been so limited in our hunting time due to weather I believe we could have found a very large bull. Of course we hunted a 100 miles North of Dillingham and the bulls have concentrated there for several years during the fall. I always use Bay Air here in Dillingham and they give great service. Our hunt was about $2000.00 total for 4 people. That is just for flying. I provided all the camping gear etc. for the hunt. If you would like more details send me an e-mail. Regards, Mark

next yr we are going up to hunt 'bou for 5 days then flyout to another area and do a drop moose (meat) hunt. Have our deposits pd already the 15 day trip from my house back to my house will run right around $2500 and that shouls include a few days of silver salmon fishing on the west side of the Cooke Inlet. 2 of the guys that were along two yrs ago made that trip this year in late August and killed 2 big bull bou, a 57" bull moose and a cow moose. all with bows *** but they said it was a real back breaker for work! Me I'll skip killing another bou and hunt for a nice bull moose then fish the remainder of the trip.BB
