Another fishing recommendation request

Cazador humildeAnother fishing recommendation request
Similar to Buldog05's post, I too need a recommendation for a fishing guide/lodge in AK. September 2012 will be our 20th wedding anniversary, which I think is a pretty big deal, especially for a 2nd marriage, and the wife got all excited about fishing in the largest state in the union (there, this Texan freely admits it) after watching Palin's show.
We looked at several booths at the Dallas Safari Club, but the prices seemed to vary widely and we really couldn't get a bead on the quality of the different lodges. It doesn't have to be the cheapest or the most expensive.
Quality of the experience ranks much higher than quantity of fish caught. No fly-fishing, just plane-ol' tourist "take 'em out and get 'em to hook something" type stuff. We'd also greatly appreciate an amiable guide instead of the "your doing it wrong" type. (I just spent a day in Florida with a real doozy of the latter.)
September may be too late for most of the lodges, I do not know.
Any help is appreciated.
We are not fancy but have a large percentage of return clients. Take a look at our web and see it it fits your needs.
There are a lot of good ones out there. And some not quite so good.
Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

Fall fishermen in western ak can pursue good rainbow trout, grayling and arctic char fishing. Additionally, depending on the stream there could be some good silver salmon fishing.
Expect cooler weather, much less sport fishing pressure and bring your rain gear.
If you like saltwater fishing, you might want to look at some of the larger boats that do multi day long range fishing trips. If your goal is to catch alot of fish, and a large variety of fish, that would be the route I'd consider.

bwanamrmKent,
My son and I along with a couple of buddies are doing a "blast and cast" in August with Butch King's Wildman Lodge. Butch has a very nice, comfortable camp with some great fishing and some ptarmigan hunting if you find that interesting! Cheers, bud. Oh here is his website:
