Folks,

The fall drop off hunt for Sitka blacktails on Kodiak is the most economical way of huniing these animals and one of the best values in Alaska hunting.

Our outfitter has luxury 56' yacht with beautiful staterooms, hot showers and even a big screen TV.

For hunters willing to do some walking and climbing their 3 buck limit is pretty much a slam dunk. Trophies of 100 B&C points are also not a problem if you can be a little selective.

The price is $3100 per hunter for 6 days from dock to dock in Kodiak. The outfitter provides comfortable accommodations, great food and transportation to and from the island each day.

For further info contact me anytime.

why run to Kodiak each night couldn't you anchor in the bay you are going to hunt? 3100 hundred is pretty high for a transport hunt but sounds like a nice boat.

Gumboot,

They do stay out for theduration of the hunt. Sorry! I guess I did not make that clear.

Bear Guide,

Your right. This is not a fishing boat used in the fall for hunting. It is a real yacht with an intereior cabin space of 40'x18' which is huge. The accommodations are very nice.

Is this a guided hunt, or they drop you off and you find your own deer?

I suspect this is just a transporter, thus he would not be able to legally guide you. They give you food and lodging (boat) and transportation to and from shore. I did one of these last year and had a great time with very good success. I'm sure Mark can tell you more about this particular setup

Clark,

Darkside is exactly right. You hunt on your own and the transporter provides the rest.

.......With the staying out for the week it would be a good deal ...........Try trailering a boat on the Tustamina round trip from Seward or Homer ,,,,Even if you tow it with a Samuri or Tracker ...You will still not break even ....Then you would need to deal with the weather on your own Frowner .......I hope they do well at it .....

.If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....
