I just moved up to Alaska and I have found that my hunting clothing is lacking. I have been looking at new gear. I get fur-fish-and game magazine and, in the back they had a add for HYCREEK does anyone know of this company or do you have any ideas for clothing for my new home

I've been using one of their kits for years. I really like the pants and fleece layering. Very warm when needed, take it off when you're slogging up the trail. The coat is way heavy and seems suited for sitting in a tree stand or box blind. It comes with a bug mesh thing that I have no use for as we don't have tons of skeeters in Montana. I ripped a nice gash in the pants going over a barbed wire fence a few weeks ago, went to WalMart, got an iron on patch and fixed them up. No problems since then.

I ordered the green pants and a cammo jacket. I've used the cammo jacket duck hunting when I'm just sitting there. Insanely heavy.

I used the kit on Prince of Wales Island two years ago (without the coat) and it worked well. Nice to have somewhat water proof pants. "Somewhat" comes from the zippers, which are not waterproof.

The same kit is sold in Europe under the "Jahti Jakt" name with a wicked cool moose logo

Great stuff for the price. No clue how it would work in the conditions in AK.
