I'll be hunting in the Wrangell area during the first and second weeks of November and was debating about purchasing a wolf tag. I know seeing a wolf in the wild is generally rare, but is there even a population in this area and worth considering? You are correct ... a sighting is rare and a shot at one is rarer ... but for $30 get the tag for the rare chance ... If you are hunting North Prince of Wales Island (unit #2) you cannot take a Wolf till Dec 1st. But it will be open in all of unit #3 and unit #1. | |||
