Don't think they are albino. Too many dark spots and can't see the pink eyes. Neat photo though. Thanks Dan

The bigger one looks to have pink eyes, the smaller one with the dark spots for sure has brown eyes.

their really neat looking! Aren't Albinos protected in Alaska!

I know that the Regs state that, in GMA20C, "white phased or partial albino(more than 50% white)may not be taken".

These same moose pictures were posted on another website a few months ago claiming the pictures were taken in Ontario, I believe.

Why would an albino moose be protected? Wouldn't that signify a potential genetic defect in the moose and a greater desire to harvest it to keep it out of the bloodlines?

White deer are protected in Illinois. Don't know why, but it's the law.

Call us superstitious, but most German hunters would never kill an albino or white deer! They are said to be fosterlings of the hunting gods Diana and Hubertus. Killing them would infuriate the gods and curse the hunter with bad luck! shame

Anyway, I wouldn't let them live out of superstition but out of the appreciation of nature's ever astounding omnifariousness...

Just my two cents...
