| I'll jump in, cowpuncher has been on ar for a while but a long time ago. Forgot all his login stuff! His gun was a 340 wbthy shooting 250gr tsx. Bear was 110 yards. Dropped him at 7pm about five miles or so from the tent. At 9pm we started walking back, after falling in the river crossing and the rain starting we were both soaked, we climbed up about a thousand feet and set up a tarp to ride out the darkness and rain before attempting the wet rock fields and last 1000' mountain slope and two mile trek we had ahead of us. About 330am we could see well enough to navigate and continued on in the rain. 630am we arrived at the tent and of course then the rain stopped!! Exciting one day hunt with more adventure than you could pack into one trip!! Here I am helping this guy outa his parka... Hard to beat a havalon knife!! |

| Thanks Jake, Appreciate you filling in the details. As can be determined by Jake's info, it was an exciting hunt. Jake is a real professional. The planning and execution was great, and the wisdom and being able to adjust to the circumstances were much appreciated. Anyone wanting to hunt with both an excellent outfitter/guide, and all around solid citizen would be well-served with Jake Jefferson. |

| Congrats on your bear cowpuncher! I'm headed up to hunt bear with Jake in October. From my conversations with him he seems to have a good sense of humor too, which is a huge plus in my book. Can't think of a better time to be had at my favorite time of year.
