I just received this photo of the bear took in 2013, The Taxidermist who lives now in Southern Illinois became deathly ill and it was day by day for a little over a year and a half, I stuck with him since he was so excited to do something other than deer and fish especially since he worked on bears for a number of years
when he worked for a big outfit out west. The bear is in its drying state so hopefully I will get it in the next month or som It looks better than I expected. Hopefully I have learned a lesson in patience

Here is the picture when I took him

Fianlly finished the base looks great a beautiful coloration for a coatal brown

Where did you get the bear? Looks like weather may have been damp!

I booked with Gary Gray Alsek River Lodge, Dry Bay Alaska. Yes it rained almost everyday, the bear got wetter since he fell into the river at the shot, quite a job getting him out with all the mud

Looks good

It probably made your taxidermists day when you decided to stick with him. Congratulations to both of you.

Looks great especially with the bear standing on the fish.
