Two of us are hunting out of the Tok area.Going with 40 Mile Air. Should we get a moose we will have lots of meat to get rid of.. A gentle suggestion: It might be be better to express it some other way than using "get rid of" in reference to moose meat or any other game meat in Alaska.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings but when you can't take it with you , you need to get rid of it. Free is free.

I’m not from Alaska but I believe he was inferring that you might want to let folks know, “you’ll have moose meat that you can't take home and you’d like to give it to Tok area locals should they desire have some.” Or something about like that.

And kudos to you for sharing the meat from your hunt. I'm sure that you'll find some locals in the Tok area that will be happy to receive this gift.
