MARK H. YOUNGMaybe we should all have been in the Wrangells this year
Folks,
Just heard from Kelly Vrem/Rough and Ready Guide Service that they shot a 45 3/8 x 44 7/8 Dall ram that green scores 180 2/8. This is an incredible sheep and everyone is ecstatic. If I get some pix later I will post them. No! Unfortunately he was not my client!

ChisanaAny pics of this ram surface yet? None of the sheep people I've talked with in Alaska have heard about it.

First the biggest news. Matthew Brown with Assistant Guide Sterling Whitaker took a 45 Inch Dall Sheep. Boone & Crockett score of 180 2/8. While not official we believe it is in the top 20 ever taken. This is Ram of a Lifetime and a Ram of a Career. We are very proud to have a hard-working crew to lead to this extremely successful hunt. Congratulations Matt and Stu!
Hope to see the hunt pictures sometime!

MARK H. YOUNGYeah! Kelly wanted to get it up on the website first before blasting it out for everybody. I have not seen the pic of the sheep before the skull plate was removed. That would really show its tremendous size.

Alaska HunterOh WOW, that is real monster!!!
That is the biggest ram I've ever seen taken in Alaska; mass, length, symmetry, just has everything.
I'm believing the 180 score.
Congratulations!

AKsheephunterI know the Wrangells have those legendary genes, from giants harvested back in the day, but I think there's some sleepers wandering in the eastern Chugach Range, huge area with some mild winters, I'm sure we are going to see some in the years to come.
