Hey Guys: I once lived in Alaska...20+ years ago. Now in New Mexico. Anyway, I have the luxury of taking no less than a month off to go back up north on my own and hunt. I have a cabin that I can use around the Talkeetna area.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF HUNTING MOOSE THERE??? I just need some honest opinions. Thanks a million.

What moose? Where? Ain't none left. Lots of wolves and griz though! On a serious note, many areas that were once great for moose are now very poor at best. You really need to do your homework, and starting here is a good idea.

.......Used to be lots in that area , but I haven,t been there much ... If you have wheels you can do the loop in search of a good moose if you have a month to invest .....

.If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....

Lots of road hunters in that area, I would look elsewhere.
