MotorCityDoug, good to see you on AR. My dad and I enjoyed our lunch with you. I hope you have a great 2012 season.
12 March 2012, 19:43
458WinWe still have the opening if anyone is interested. We only take four hunters in two exclusive areas and with the season being extended thru rut this year it should be another successful season.

You still living year-around in the Alaskan "bush"?

14 March 2012, 02:48
458WinTJ, I still spend the majority of every year at our homestead on the peninsula but still spend part of the winters at our cabin near Circle Hot Springs. it is not quite as remote as our peninsula homestead but is still a lot "bushier" than the Kenai.
Why do you ask?

458WinAs Dwight originally posted, the dates are Sept 10-20 and he is hoping to find a hunter to take his slot. It would be best to contact him first.

458WinJust had a second cancellation - which leaves us short of both time and hunters. E-mail if any of you are interested in a great deal on a trophy moose hunt.

bobby7321sounds like a good deal. If I get skunked on the draws here in the western states I'll be sending you an email (if anything is still available at that point)
I'ld go but I got drawn for AZ elk.
Good Luck on your Elk hunt.
This hunt has been contracted. Thanks to all those who PM'd me details.
I look forward to seeing some pictures in late September.
There will be one from me! :-)

How did your bear hunt go this spring
Larry
14 June 2012, 22:22
458WinIt was the coldest and snowiest spring on record but eventually everyone went home with good big boars. But we had to work for them. This one was wounded and it took three days of tracking to finally catch up with him in this pass where the drifts were still 30 feet deep.

458WinDirk, No, that rifle is a CZ in 370 Sako ( aka 9.3x66 ) that Lon Paul recently built and brought up on the hunt.
