My wife told me this weekend that she would like to go moose hunting in Alaska. The difficulty is that she has a bad ankle, and can not walk more than a mile or two on uneven ground. Recommendations on how to accomodate this problem would be welcomed. One of the alternatives that I have considered is a float trip. Your feedback on this and other options/recommendations are appreciated. Thanks, Dave One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know. - Groucho Marx

I highly reommmend doing a float trip, did my first one last year and will be doing another very soon. If you need someone to help you set it up, contact Larry Bartlett at http://www.PristineVentures.com he helped set mine up and I rented all my float gear from him. Everything was already loaded on the place when we arrived to fly out. "We band of 45-70'ers"

got to go by boat. My dad has a bad leg and can't walk too far either, I took him out by airboat for his moose hunt two years ago. a float trip would probably be your best bet.

Loud, Give me an e-mail to discuss as we can accomodate you & your wife.We have the means to accomodate her ability. We will hunt her from our Base camp by River boat on a daily basis. This will not be a float hunt but we will be accessing bulls available to us near the river. We went 100% the last 2 years with bulls in the high 50's to high 60's.Average bull was 61".
