What additional training or experience is required in Alaska to move up from a registered guide status to master guide?

The primary legal requirement is staying out of jail for the past 12 years !

But it does require positive recommendations from quite a few clients from the past 12-17 years

Basically it is an honorary title with no additional benefits other than bragging rights.


Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

I don’t do goat on Kodiak anymore. Sam rohrer would be your guy to talk with. It’s draw where I was working and I just got tired of he lack of success in the drawing department. So o just stick to moose/sheep/brown and grizzly bears now.
