Allen, Those pictures look REALLY familiar. In the early 80's it was not that easy to get a moose so we would get dropped off in the winter on a frozen lake by the local air taxi and camp for a couple of days. Cold as Hell but a great adventure. Hunting at -10 to -30 degrees is a unique experience in itself. The fact that the caribou had dropped their horns was completely irrelevant. We were hubting about 40 miles East of Bethel. Just north of 3 Step Mt. if you know where that is at on the Kwethluk River. | |||
