I had heard that Illiamna Air was no longer doing drops for self-guided hunts. Someone else here may can verify, perhaps?

The Alsworth clan on Lake Clark can put you in amongst them. You can fly with them direct from Merrill in Anchorage to the Lake Clark hdqtrs and from there to the herds. After the hunt, you're back to Merrill. I've used them and recommend them. It's a clean trip, in and out.

Good luck to you.

I second the recommendation to use Lake Clark Air. Glen Alsworth is a very fine man and you'll be dropped right in the middle of the herd. You can go cheaper but you can not go better.
