Flying to Fairbanks, then Healy, then Denali to hunt with Coke Wallace of Midnight Sun Safaris. Plane leaves at 11:00am and I'm just starting to pack! :

Oh well, I'll be fine. I've got everything I need and since I don't have to worry about a rifle, things will be much easier. The ATF didn't come through so I'm going to have to get rigged down there. Just have to worry about bringing all the right cameras, electronics and cables, etc. The clothes and gear are where they always are, ready and waiting for the next hunt!

I have been too busy to get excited, but I'm finally getting there now it's getting close. Just a cross check, a little stuffing and I'm heading to bed to thank my good woman for all the help getting ready.

They are running at 100% success right now, but since this is a combo hunt, I'm not sure if that means both animals. I'm hunting Moose, Grizzly and will take a Dall sheep if one presents itself. Hopefully by the time I get back on the 24th I'll have some good pictures to show around.

Good luck, Sheldon !!! Perhaps we can swap a few hunting stories when you get back. Do you still need a fancy oryx ? We had a few problems this year with a generally useless land rover but that should be solved in 2006. Get a big griz !!!
