Who knows the real story on this Bear?
The version I got is that the girl is 9 years old from the Yukon and killed this Bear on the AK Peninsula October of 2006. Bear supposedly has a 33 1/16" skull.
Tell me the real story.............

I wonder if she will shoot another one when she turns ten.

Hunters under ten are not allowed to have thier own tags, permits. So they must use a supervising adults tag. The bag limit will count for the adult.

Anyways it is a huge animal and she should be proud. She has also shot sheep and has been to Africa.

Makes me jealous but goodness what doesn't. Would be nice to be rich.

Makes me wish my dad was an Outfitter or PH when I was a kid!

I also posted this in the American Hunting section of the forum.

Something about those photos looks odd to me??

If you are going to carry a big stick, you've got to whack someone with it at least every once in while.

my first reaction was that it didn't look like Oct......looks like a spring hunt to me. the next reaction was to find a REg book and see if the season was open in the fall of 2006....Nope, Ak penn is open fall of odd 3 years, spring of even number years. When several things don't line up coreectly I am always sceptical of a the rest....33 1?16 would indeed by a new record.
I thought it would make the anchorage paper soon after it was measured..

my two cents...

very nice bear BTW,

The bear hunting article says it was May 10, 2006 and that the bear was officially scored at 29-1/16".
