Subsistence caribou starts on the 10th, but none hanging around the end of the Taylor; course they could show up later this week. Never can predict them bou. I see more bear in blueberries in Sept than Aug.

Headed out for sheep on the 19th. My draw Caribou tag was expanded to all of Unit 13 - bonus. First sheep, then the bou. Things are looking good! Hope to have a good hunt to write about in two weeks.

Phil,

I've never been a fan of interior ptarmigans when it comes to eating. But the ones on Adak Island were delicious. Must have been their diet out there.

My partner & I are heading out on the 11th for caribou on the slope. This time, we're gonna really be prepared for bum weather. Arctic Oven tent with a wood stove. Man!! I can already feel that sauna.
Good luck to all.
