I am looking at getting a Lefty Sauer Hatari in .375H&H but Sauer only supply the "Butterknife" bolt handle but I would rather the round bolt type.........Does anyone have experience with this type of bolt? and for Dangerous Game can this style of bolt be worked quickly? Thanks

Interesting question, SJM. I own a Sauer Take down S202, lefty in .30-06 with switch barrel in .300 WM. It's a very accurate and smooth operating rifle with the kind of workmanship, you normally see on custom guns. For that reason, I have been thinking a while to buy a switch barrel in .375 H&H or .416 Remington Magnum or eventually buy the Hatari. The main reason why I will not buy the Hatari is, that I want my DG rifle to be a CRF and to a lesser extend that the bolt handle is of the flat type. The latter is mainly a mental question, I suppose, because I can assure you that once used to the flat handle, it operates very fast, probably not slower than the conventional bolt handle. The appearance of the flat handle makes you think it cannot be gripped and handled as fast as a regular bolt, but this is certainly not the case. I hope this helps you in making up your mind.
