Stopped in my local shop today and they had a Stag Arms Model 7L "Hunter". It is a Left Hand AR chambered in 6.8 that is intended as a deer rifle. I know it wont be for everyone, but it was an interesting lefty, much lighter in weight than it looked. May have to do some research and take a closer look!

I personally love the 6.8spc. STAG is a solid quazlity manufacturer. They are the retail portion of CMT machining, who make a huge percentage of AR parts for most major players.

That said, last I knew RockRiver, Bushmaster, Armalite, and STAG were in the process of moving from the SAMMI chamber to the SPCII chamber. Big difference. Stick s. the SPCII. Increased performance. Allows a much hotter round.

I would suggest a White Oak Armament, or a Denny's Guns upper. Of if dollars are of no concern NOVESKE!!!

LMT is the bomb for 5.56 but stay away for 6.8.
