i was flipping through the channels the other night and saw a young lady shooting a left handed rifle at an oryx. left it there a few minutes and the lady was the president of cz usa and was hunting on a ranch in texas. i got to believe she was using a cz rifle. so at least one in a caliber large enough to kill a large animal exists. i believe the show was hunting university.

Cz's president Alice Poluchova is left handed. There were talks of bringing out the 550 american in left handed for 2007 back in 2006, but then ZB in the Czech Repubic got in financial trouble. I have a feeling that those plans got scrapped.

A 550 this year would not surprise me too much. 527 in 223 last fall 452 the fall before. Wish they would have been a few months sooner with the 223. I would have bought one instead of a Savage. Still may sell the savage and get one. Any input on the accuracy of CZ's in 527?

George,

I enjoy your cynism - it's spot on.

Just received the newest Frankonia leaflet and low & behold are offering CZ527's in Left Hand but only in .223 Remington, the .22 Hornet & .222 Remington fans will have to wait a while; at least here in Europe.

Looks like the totem pole is gonna go small to large.......

I bet the 30.06 will be the next LH chambering that they offer.

Hey manufacturers. We can buy or have all the 270s, 30.06s, 7 Mags and 300 mags that we want.

Lefties shoot other cartridges!

Frank,

I bet you're right too!

I don't need another vanilla-flavored L/H rifle, I've already got the standard .270 Win., .30/06 Sprg. 7mm Rem. Mag & .300 Win. Mag. picket fence.

They need to pop a 24" Fluted Bull Barrel on those L/H CZ527's in .22 Hornet & .223 Rem. for a great L/H Mini-Varminter - would be very interesting IMO.

Then go straight to the L/H .416 Rigby - with no stops in between.

Works for me.

I hate to say it but you all are right. I also am bored with the vanilla 06, 300, 270 ect.. I would really like to see a 9.3, 358, 416, 6mm and some of the more interesting calibers. I was going to purchase a new cz but 223, i already have a 6ppc and 220 swift and a lefty cz 22 which is superbly accurate.

CZ has had the SAME line for the last few years...by phone and email. I think they're on to me since they don't even reply to my queries these days...

Just insert your favorite digits in the following phrase: We'll begin to manufacture the left handed XXX in 20XX"...

Those CZ model 3's were made by Montana Rifle Co for CZ to market in the US. That experiment failed two years ago at least.

X-Ring,
Are you saying that CZ might be a protege of Remington as far as new products are concerned?
