Anyone interested in this just for the action, it is a Magnum and left hand. On sale at Cabela's in Rogers MN. From what I understand it is pretty beat up and probably only good for the action if someone wanted it for a custom build. I think the action is about the only thing useable, I was told this by one of the salesmen. Apparently someone "bubba'ed" up the stock and barrel. I think they were asking $595 or so.I can have it put on hold and maybe get it for you, then maybe barrel it and stock it for you? Since it is a Magnum action you may not be able to do a 7x57...unless Jim can correct. I had a 264 built on a LH M-70 a few years ago....McMillan stock and Cerecoat. Had the bolt replaced and the mag box opened up to allow longer bullet seating. I threw a Swarovski on it and never looked back. I had a 257 Weatherby and sold it once the 264 arrived home. Only killed one deer with it last year but expect it will get more trigger time this year. I say go for it! ****************************************************************** R. Response: Well, Jim you about covered it, except the stock hasn't been messed with. Everthing else is "bubbaed". Barrel cut to 16.5, friggin' muzzle brake added. Front ramp changed, rear sight missing with extra holes drilled along with a milled flat spot (at least the SS Winnie barrel isn't like that.) Rear action ring is millled flat, leaving a .018" ridge at rear, two extra holes to hold a #47 Weaver that ISN"T milled flat. That cn be worked around with a shim, but what the hell was bubba and customer thinking. But, in hind sight there ain't that many Super Express Mag action floating around and it's an older one with the screw in the bolt/safety shroud. Sure did mess up a nice LH Winne to make a brush buster, at least I assume that was the idea or maybe it was a "Super Cub" aerial rifle. Forgot to mention they glassed the rear base to the bridge, but not the front one. Funny. Also, the bolt is rough in the forward and withdrawal motion. Much rougher than newer ones above 300,000 that are available for comparison. | |||

If it is the one I see for $599 on the Rogers site, sale is pending. It sure looks like a push feed blued action with a SS barrel. Right? Norm ___

You are right and I am wrong. Item Reference #: 2312274 is a RH 70 in a WSM action. It is currently the only 70 on the Rogers site in that price range.
