Found this in a shop South of here. Blue with a Leupold 3x9, has a break that doesn't seem to screw off. Didn't look really hard as time didn't permit.

I can take some pictures of the rifle if you would like. I'll be back there on Saturday. They have it priced at $1200. I think that I can save you the postage to your FFL. I live for Left Hand rifles but can't take the recoil of the 338.

Let me know if I can help.

I bought a used LH M70 in 270WSM two years ago with a Nikon Buckmasters scope mounted for $550.

Have prices gone up this much?

Left hand WSM's are at the bottom of the barrel as far as pricing. The 7mm WSM's are still being sold on Gunbrokers NIB for less than what they sold for BEFORE Winchester stopped making them. Couple of weeks ago watched a new one sell for about $550. The 270 and 300's bring a little bit more. Used I have seen them sit unsold at $450 on occassion.
Not knocking them as I own a 270 WSM and a 300 WSM model 70 lefties and think they are both really nice rifles.

Rifles such as the .338 and other "Classic" calibers usually sell for more money.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

I've been offered about that for my 338, but it comes with both the original walnut stock and this new McMillan. Scope is Leupold VX III 2.5-8X
Not interested in selling it, but nice to know what they're going for.

For $1200 I can get a brand new Stiller Precision Predator action with Jewell trigger, bottom metal, pins, etc... Seems like a lot for a a factory used rifle.

Add 275 for a Hart custom barrel, 225 for gunsmith labor, and 375 for a hunter McMillian. Granted a much bigger price but we are talking NEW and CUSTOM as opposed to a used factory rifle.

Anyway, Deakin you are a great guy for offering up the leg work on this one!!!! Thanks for lookin out for us lefties. We need all the help we can get. I read that only 7% of the world is lefty.

BTW: jbmich -- nice lookin rig. How does she shoot/
