The 458 was a SS laminate 300 that I rebarreled with a factory barrel. I cut the barrel to 21 in and had the factory front sight installed. I had the barrel tuff-coated to match the action. The action is fully beded. I releaved the tang. I have had about 150 full house rounds thru in and about 50 light loads. It has the Factory Laminate stock (green, black, grey)It would be a great Alaska rifle. I built it for that purpose, but alas I fell in love with African hunting. I installed a limbsaver pad with A NECG peep site. You can call me on my cell if you have any more questions. 303-883-7408

Yes the Barrel is CM, but it is coated with a finish that matches the SS reciever. Everything but the barrel is SS.

The 788 and the 700 are sold. I just have the SS ruger 458 left. IMOP it is the best rifle out of the 3 and no buyer. Oh well just might have to keep it awhile or maybe rechamber to a 458 AR.
