My dad has decided that at his age, He needs to stick with the things he has and not venture into the unknown so here is a project rifle that he has been setting on for some tme. It is a 1917 Eddystone Enfield in 30-06 that has been gone through and sporterized to a great extent. The action is right hand but the stock looks to be a Lawson in Myrtlewood with a left hand roll over. I will tell you that I have no idea who did the smithing on the gun but it was a decent job. The blueing is very nice and so is the stock. Some checkering would make it a very nice piece. Please be aware that this stock is robust in size. Length of pull is 13.75 and there is tons of wood everywhere along the stock. This would make for a great place to begin a re-shape if some one would want to. The rifle shoots damn well, going under an inch at 100 with factory fodder. The bore looks good and there are iron sights mounted on the rifle. If someone will so good as to tell me how to post pics, I will do so. Otherwise I would more than happy to email them. I have no clue what ths rifle is worth so lets say best offer takes it.
