Ditto's Kimber will never make a lt. handed 375 caliber rifle. Now that I have said it, maybe they will.

| hey sjm,
you may want to reconsider your choice of Dakota given their recent economic woes - again. |

| Seeing I purchased a couple of Kimbers for my wife in the past I wouldnt buy one in left hand. Let's just say, neither were a very good rifle (Montana's)
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

| And that is to bad. I'd still be sorely tempted by a LH Montana in 708. In spite of the 'Kimber Roulette'.....

| As a side note, I live near the Yonkers factory and brought my Kimber 45 in for repairs, since it was jamming every 10 rounds or so. They took the gun in but weren't too happy about it....no small talk, smile, nothing. Not a pleasant experience. I love the pistol but definetly bought my last Kimber.
BTW I do think Kimber makes a nice and handy and well finished rifle, but they are not known for accuracy for the reports I have read here, and they aren't cheap either. I have a left hand M70 which I had done over by Hill Country Rifles which I bet would shoot rings around a Kimber.
Just my 2 cents. |

It's worth more than two cents, your findings are what I have found to be true, their rifles are junk in comparison with price, had to send one back for a friend new barrel etc. only after argueing with them. M70 is twice the rifle IMO.

| Dirk, I didn't want to mention it before about the 45 thing, but when I brought the gun in for the problem, I was an active member of the Yonkers Police department...I have since retired. I mentioned this to them then not becaure i was looking for something for nothing but only because my life reall did depend on their weapon and I just wanted it to be fixed...end of story. Still an attitude from then and no affinaty for being their hometown city police depertment. They wouldn'e even give me a tour of the place, evenafter a co-worker of mine recovered a bunch of their pistols after an inside job. |
