My future son-in-law is a lefty, there was nothing I could do to prevent this. Worse, he doesn't own a rifle. It is my intention to set things right of course (and my daughter will understand) but living in France is a distinct disadvantage for finding the perfect claw-extractor .375 H&H that he needs for delivery in Southern California.

I suspect you guys know how to follow sales of LH rifles when the right rifle pops up. Any suggestions or tips you can give me? I would love to be able to give him a stock left-hand Winchester Model 70 in .375 H&H.

Wink,

Good luck, they are few in far between in that configuration. I would keep checking the postings here as well as online cabelas gun room inventories, and if you see it, jump on it. Gander Mountain has an online used inventory as well. There may be more, but if you keep your eyes peeled, you will run across one, but be ready to pay for it. Again good luck and congrats to the soon to be newly weds.

Honestly, if he was a confirmed hunter and rifleman, with several rifles already in his possession and some experience hunting in Africa, then maybe I would look at that under a different angle. Believe me, I have looked at the rifle in your other posts. But no, for a kid's first rifle, as nice as it is, that's not the one. He'd have to borrow money from me just to get ammo.

Try gun broker add # 279176992. It might be easier to get a Win. .300 win. mag. or 7mm rem mag. and rebarrel.

Why don't you have him go to Verney-Carron in France and order a special left-hand gun? They are not as expensive as you might think.
