Blaser

I am amazed that people will spend this much on a factory rifle. BTW I am not attacking Blaser but simply making the point that guns are getting expensive!

Edited.....

Sorry...I found the Wal-mart verson with the $40 dollar plastic stock. Now I can go hunt.

Bargin Blaser

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! I think the value of the dollar has played a huge part in the escalating price of the Blaser's. About a year ago, they were almost half what I've seen them priced for recently.

Can't imagine that it is, unless you need something to match your Land Rover. What amazes me about them is that I see so many for sale, but never seen anyone shooting them at the range. Who is buying them?

Someone has to like them, they're just not a rifle that I would buy. I can't shoot with my eyes closed and I couldn't stand having them open with that thing around.

Whoever is selling the Blasers has to have some type of deal going with gunbrokers because anytime you search for "left hand" rifles about 75 Blasers will pop up first.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

It's just a bolt swap, so those 75 Blasers are probably being sold as RH also. Big Grin

Mad Dog Guns puts the whole flippin' Blaser catalog on GunBroker and a vast majority of items listed are not in stock and have to be ordered. They also put up full MSRP, not what they usually sell for from other dealers. A real pain in the A-- though.

Chopperguy is right.

I hate to say that the quality of a Blaser is above anything I have shot. The metal finish is near rust free. It is a true take down that returns to zero when put back together, it is just a damn fine rifle. I have had guns form 20K dollar doubles to 400 dollar savages and I have to say I take my R93's out more than any other.

If you look on the used market you can find one for about half of what you had on the link, but they are far from cheap. Right now I have 3 frames and 7 barrels in cal. ranging form 222-10.3x60R. It is the most accurate, and consistant gun that I own.

Not cheap, but damn good!
