Was in a gun shop the other day, they had a Mossberg 22 rifle, 42a, left hand. Looked like a very nice rifle,. Action was smooth, bolt was very large, had a williams type site mounted to it. Anyone have any experience with these guns? Price was high to me, not really looking for a .22-unless it is a real good price.
Just curious about this model, first time I have seen one.

I have and L43 not sure the difference between 42s and 43s. Mine is a really nice gun, made in 1938 when everything was steel and walnut. An L43 just sold on GB for $500 and it had some issues. I was told less then 200 L43s were made.
