Recently on a trip to Africa I had an experience that gave me some revenge on my buddy. I shoot left handed and he shoots right handed. I have borrowed one of his rifles on occasion and he teases me that it takes me longer to chamber a round with the right handed bolt. Well, we were hunting bushbuck and duiker at a farm and a I got a nice bushbuck and after taking pictures I handed my left handed rifle to my buddy to hold for me. Then a nice duiker came out and since he was holding my rifle he used it and I thought he would never get that second round chambered with my left handed bolt. Luckily he did not need the second shot but it did give me my chance to tease him.

Way to go Dave, I take all sorts of stick from my Right-Handed bretheren also, you know; the "Oh, really nice rifle, do you mind.....?" After shouldering it...."but the bolt's on the wrong side"; sorta crap. All Right-Handers should be made to take a couple of shots with a Left-Handed rifle, perhaps we'd see more L/H factroy offerings afterwards? Cheers, Number 10

David, That's a great story. I read somewhere that lefties have to be smarter by default to deal with the right handed world. I have a video of my dad and I each taking two shots with his new RSM 416 Rigby, and I don't take hardly any more time to load the second round than he - and I had to take the rifle off my shoulder to do it! I'm sufficient at using right handed weapons, but lefties are just "right." _____________________________________________________ No safe queens!
