Davidson's has the LH SS .375 with laminated stock on sale again for $616.95 until March 12. That beats the pants off of the $850 plus wanted for these on gunbroker.
Dang, I really love the way these things look, just don't need a .375 Ruger at all. Davidson's shows 10 in stock as of this post.
Buy one for a donor and rebarrel. I am starting my project soon on mine, and have three guys in line when the factory barrel comes back. Pre sold it for $175

Every lefty that has any love for Rugers should buy one of these. Very neat package. Nosler 260 ABs at 2600fps are not bad at all for recoil and are very accurate. Loaded a couple of 300 Partitions at a mild 2450fps and they were touching at 100 yds as were the ABs. Might have to take it elk hunting just because. Steve
What are the easiest conversions to accomplish...?? I like the price for a donor. Get's me wondering what it could be rebarreled in to. I already have a REAL .375 rifle..(smile). Some rattle-can camo paint to hide that carnival stock and a matte finish on the new bbl and a guy might have something. Just sayin'. Thanks for the notice on these.

I finally got around to firing mine yesterday and I am disappointed. The factory open sight is at least a foot low at 50 yards. I really didn't want to scope this rifle but the sights don't seem to be adjustable for elevation unless I'm missing something.

Maybe change where you are holding the front bead? That's a big ol' white dot up front and if you use a 6 o'clock hold you very well could be low. I personally have never used express sights in a situation requiring express sights but if I envision a big nasty charging at me, I am covering the target with the front dot and not worrying about much else. 'Course...I don't know what the hell I'm talking about either...
Ruger has known about the sight issue for years yet won't change it. That's why you call NECG they know about the problem and they have the front sight you need.

They're finally all gone from the Davidsons website. My contact at Ruger says they won't make any more now that the lefty guide gun is in the catalog. That guide gun is just ugly! Too bad. But that means that Model 17100 will do nothing but increase in value.

Was just on Davidson's web site. They say they have 99+ more of these in stock. So much for the rarity factor going up. Oh well Vol717, I still like the gun i got from you and it's going to Kodiak next spring to take out a 10' I hope!!!
So, the original "100" has turned into a a third run of 100. And Rugers announcement that they would no longer make left handed Stainless Rugers also was a "mis quote"
Good for Ruger, I am glad they are making what people want and helping to keep the prices down.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
According to the Davidson's page through my local FFL dealer, that price is not even a "sale price" currently that will expire, and they have "99+" in stock. My guess is that Davidson's just keeps telling Ruger to keep the guns rolling in, and they will keep selling them.
Which means some dealers and people who bought the first runs of these (some without barrel bands) are probably running to the bathroom to check their pants.

True, and eveyone did, that could. When word got out, they were long gone. And then they went for up to $1200 for those that just had to have one, thinking there would be no more. $900 was a good fair price for a used one for a while.

I think the total production of these guns is still only around 300. If you think about it, that's not many guns to share among all us lefties in the entire world. I know of five guns that were exported to other countries, so they are indeed in demand anywhere a good controlled round feed .375 is needed. I have three .375s, consecutively serial numbered, plus one converted to .416 Ruger.

I just checked Davidson's. The stainless, laminated lefties are all gone, and my sources tell me that there will be no more now that the LH guide gun is a catalog item. I for one don't like the guide gun's looks but it is functional.

Anyone know where they went? I never saw a clearance, and they sure didn't sell "99+" in a matter of a day. I almost think it was a factory pull, and they are going to turn them into guide guns. That would be totally ridiculous, but then again, it's Ruger.

Perhaps this is not the right forum but I'll ask anyway. Can the 375 Ruger be rechambered to any more common round? (I have a 375 Dakota and can't justify buying what is essentially a ballistic twin.)
