Gents, In the February issue of Guns&Ammo, there is an article by Boddington that may interest lefties. On page 28 you will see a picture of a left-handed 798 that may or maynot be produced for sale for us lefties. From the article: "The specific rifle I used, a protoype, was the first left-handed Mark X, a version that, despite my fondest hopes, may or may not be marketed." I wonder if enough lefties were to send E-mails, Remington might consider getting them made. BTW, the gun is a 375H&H.... Roger QSL | ||

The 798 is just the old Charles Daly Mauser that KBI Inc brought into the country in a left hand version but only chambered in standard calrtridges, (30.06, etc) When Remington outbid KBI for the rights to import the Zastava firearms it included the left handed versions but Remington made a conscious decision to not only not import the left handed versions but also to not allow anyone else to do it. A group of investors approached Remington about buying the license to import the left handed Zastava products under a different name but Big Green's response was that they were not interested in discussing it at all.
